But here\u2019s the truth: the drive to the wind tunnel is way scarier than the flight itself. Why? The unknown, of course! Our brains tend to work up the worst-case scenario when we aren\u2019t sure what to expect. That\u2019s why we\u2019ve created this guide, to give you all the reassurance you need.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Read on for a step-by-step on indoor skydiving, a video sneak peak of fun in the tunnel, and answers to several frequently asked questions so you can start your flight with confidence!&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-vimeo wp-block-embed-vimeo wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Wind Tunnel Indoor Skydiving For All Ages!\" src=\"https:\/\/player.vimeo.com\/video\/1089878448?dnt=1&amp;app_id=122963\" width=\"565\" height=\"318\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"autoplay; fullscreen; picture-in-picture; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; web-share\"><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 1: Arrival&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>When you arrive on site, you\u2019ll be welcomed by our awesome staff. No need to show up hours early, just give yourself enough time to beat traffic and arrive by your scheduled flight time. If you\u2019re late by 10 minutes or more, we may have to reschedule your flight, simply due to other bookings overlapping at that time.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 2: Briefing &amp; Waiver&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Before you become one with the wind, an expert instructor will brief you on what to expect \u2013 this overview tends to mitigate the anxiety of the <em>what ifs <\/em>and <em>unknowns<\/em>. They\u2019re prepared to answer all of your questions, from \u201cIs indoor skydiving hard on your body?\u201d(it can be, in a fun workout kind of way) to \u201cCan you do tricks in the tunnel?\u201d (yes, even <a href=\"http:\/\/skydiveperris.com\/blog\/indoor-skydiving-tricks-explained\/\">beginner indoor skydivers<\/a> can do a few).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During this step, you\u2019ll also sign a waiver. Our team is here to answer any questions you may have to ensure you feel as confident as possible before your flight.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 3: Gear Up&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Once you\u2019re checked in, the real adventure begins! We\u2019ve got you covered with a super cool flight suit, helmet, and goggles. What should you wear for indoor skydiving? Don\u2019t worry too much, the flight suit will go on top of whatever you\u2019re wearing. Best bet: go for close-fitting clothing that\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/skydiveperris.com\/blog\/what-to-wear-for-indoor-skydiving\/\">flexible and comfortable<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you wear glasses, no problem \u2013 our goggles are designed to fit securely over them. Just remember to bring <em>closed-toed shoes,<\/em> as they\u2019re a <em>must<\/em> for safety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 4: Wait in The Chamber&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Where do you wait your turn for indoor skydiving? In the chamber! The chamber is located around the perimeter of the wind tunnel. Think about a donut \u2013 if the hole in the center of the donut is the wind tunnel, then the actual glazed goodness is the chamber, or rather, the waiting room. Here, you can sit and watch flyers knock it out of the park before you. Or, if you\u2019re up for it, you can go first!&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 5: Flight Time!&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>When it\u2019s your turn, you\u2019ll step into the tunnel and the wind will lift you off the net in a rush. Don\u2019t stress, you won\u2019t be on your own, your instructor will be right there, giving pointers, maintaining eye contact, and making sure you breathe.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Can you breathe while indoor skydiving? Yes! Similar to real skydiving, <a href=\"https:\/\/skydiveperris.com\/blog\/breathe-while-skydiving\/\">you can breathe<\/a>, but some people get a bit overwhelmed (understandably!) and simply forget to take some deep breaths.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Does indoor skydiving feel real? About as real as it gets without actually leaping from a plane! So real, in fact, that a lot of professional and competitive skydivers prioritize time in the tunnel to hone their freefall skills. Indoor skydiving gives people who are not yet <a href=\"https:\/\/skydiveperris.com\/indoor-skydiving\/first-time-flyers\/faqs\/\">18 years old<\/a> (and as young as 3!) or who may want to experience skydiving for the first time in a less intense environment the chance to do so.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Each flight lasts about <a href=\"https:\/\/skydiveperris.com\/prices\/indoor\/\">one minute<\/a>, which is comparable to the freefall time of an actual skydive.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 6: Debrief &amp; Celebrate<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>You DID IT! After your final flight, you\u2019ll exit the tunnel with the biggest, most accomplished smile on your face. You\u2019ll remove your flight suit and chat with your group and instructor about the experience \u2013 what you loved, what surprised you, and how you\u2019re feeling overall.
